« Collection Experience » range at the Château de la Crée.

Thanks to the feedback we've received from you, our discerning wine lovers, we've created a new range of experiences focusing on tasting, based around different themes specific to Burgundy.

As a result, our offer has been restructured around two main groups of experiences. Firstly, we offer our "Discovery Experience" range, comprising the very successful Château de la Crée offer. Experiences include our "Château de la Crée" and the "Les Climats" experiences, plus "E-Cycling in the vineyards of Santenay", which begins with a tour of the vineyards on an electric bike. All these experiences are accessible to everyone, from complete novices to experts, families and friends alike, and your wine adviser will adapt the content to suit you. All the experiences begin with a general introduction to Burgundy, move on to focus on the Château de la Crée itself and finish with a tasting of wines from the domaine. Other related experiences, such as the "Harvest experience", also belong to this family.

However, our new " Collection Experience" range offers a selection of tastings based around a specific theme and we've created the first three experiences in this group as a result of your comments and suggestions.

Hospices de Beaune, The Founders : A tasting of eight wines from two cuvées, Beaune 1er Cru Nicolas Rolin and Beaune 1er Cru Guigone de Salins, (founders of Hospices de Beaune), across four vintages: 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020. This double vertical tasting offers a unique opportunity to explore the vintage effect, the evolution of the wines, challenges of blending and much more besides: the field for exploration is immense. As long-standing participants at the famous Hospices de Beaune Wine Auction, all the wines presented here were purchased at the auction and matured in our cellars under the auspices of our brand Maison Evenstad.

The Great Whites of Burgundy: If you're a fan of Chardonnay wines as interpreted through the terroirs of Burgundy, this is the tasting for you. We pass from the Montagny 1er Cru appellation on the Côte Chalonnaise to the Chablisien, through to the Golden Triangle of the Côte de Beaune. The experience includes two Grand-Crus (Corton Charlemagne and Chablis Grand Cru Bougros) and offers a remarkable diversity of terroir, climat and place to enchance your understanding of Burgundy whites in all their forms.

The Côte de Beaune in 8 Chapters: With 10 hectares of vineyards on the Côte de Beaune, this was an obvious theme for us. By tasting eight wines (four whites and four reds) including six premier crus and a grand cru, we cover a vast swathe of the Côte de Beaune. From Santenay to Corton, through the golden triangle formed by Chassagne-Montrachet, Puligny-Montrachet and Meursault, the tasting continues with Volnay, Pommard and Beaune and finishes on the high of the Colline de Corton with a Corton Grand Cru red.

- All the wines presented are from the Domaine du Château de la Crée or have been vinified and matured by us under our Maison Evenstad brand.
- Each tasting experience is centred around a specific Burgundian wine theme.
